Child sexual abuse is a sensitive subject, leading to numerous questions from both staff and students. Many among them are unfamiliar with the legal aspects and their roles and responsibilities in addressing this issue.

The course will acquaint all staff and students with the POCSO law and Child Protection Policy, providing information about their respective duties and responsibilities.

 

The POCSO training is crafted to raise awareness about the POCSO law among both staff and students. It aims to educate them about their duties and responsibilities, fostering a safe learning environment. Additionally, the training seeks to provide clarity on what constitutes child sexual abuse.

The Course content includes the following key elements :

  • Identify the definition of child sexual abuse as per the POCSO Act
  • Recognize the warning signs indicative of child sexual abuse
  • Understand the appropriate actions to be taken when staff / Parent/Teacher encounters an incident of child sexual abuse.
  • Articulate one’s responsibilities in responding to and supporting the aggrieved child.
  • Acquire knowledge of one’s duties and responsibilities in preventing and addressing child sexual abuse.

The course is open to attendance by children, parents, teachers, and institution staff, all of whom are eligible to participate in the POCSO Act training.
